I am British born and Chinese-Italian, based between New York and Hong Kong. I have trained martial arts for over 20 years with an initial focus in Kendo and Chinese martial arts (Wushu and Shaolin Kung fu), discovering Brazilian Jiu jitsu when I was 18. I represent Unity Jiu Jitsu in New York, under Murilo Santana.

My approach as a teacher and a competitor combines my experience in martial arts and other movement disciplines (dance, contact improvisation), but also integrates my engineering background into deconstruction and evaluation. I believe a blended approach is an optimal way to create and nurture a well rounded lens that is not overly mechanical and leaves room for creativity and innovation.

Creating both an environment to practise that is stimulating, challenging and healthy at the same time is often difficult - that’s where I come into the picture to facilitate your journey in the art.
